Our Children Jason Walter, born October 11, 1975 James Waide, born March 13, 1984, deceased December 16, 1999 Jane Witney, born December 13, 1986 Vicki As a teen, Vicki professed her faith in Christ’s atonement & resurrection. She graduated from Arapahoe High School, Littleton, CO; after two years as a member of Cherrelyn Baptist Church, Englewood, CO, attended Faith Baptist Bible College; and, in 2003, completed and received her Bachelor of Science in Management from Houghton College. Tim Tim attended Fortaleza Academy, Baptist Mid-Missions’ school for missionary children, in Brazil. At age thirteen, he placed his faith in Christ as Savior & became a member of First Baptist Church, Hamburg, NY. Tim is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College, Ankeny, IA. Ministry Emphasis Church Planting & Support Ministries Youth & Adult Ministries 50/50 Plan - Partnering with National Ministry Leaders Participants in Church for the Deaf & Vila Baptist Church, Petrolina Our Ministry Tim: serving as pastor/missionary in area congregations and teaching in 3 area churches, constructing church buildings and parsonages, as well as, participating in radio ministry; also serves on the Board of the Cariri Valley Theological Seminary. Vicki: correspondence, specific projects and support ministries, occasional counseling, and learning Brazilian Sign Language. Personal goals for 2010 Tim: continue learning how "...the truth shall make you free", John 8:32, and seeing that truth permeate his preaching and teaching; continuing to develop friendship with men in our community; and working with a committee responsible for the redistribution of BMMB´s (Baptist Mid-Missions do Brasil) equity. The first semester of the year, Tim’s Bible studies with the Vila adults have been focused on The Forgiven Forgiving their Debtors. Most of the messages are taken from Paul’s letters focused on desiring to vs. having to obey God. Vicki: continue to maintain our website, prepare newsletters for mailing, make healthy lifestyle choices and keep up with exercise program; read 1-2 Christian “self-help” books, 1-2 management books, and 1-2 books for entertainment; encourage believers through empathy and private one-on-one counseling; and gain a better understanding of her strengths to use them; completion of presentation given at the BMMB March 2010 Family Conference about our missionaries who have gone on to Glory, putting it on DVD and beginning Portuguese translation. Special Projects for 2010 The acquisition of funds for construction of an auditorium for our new church, which is the sister congregation of the Church for the Deaf. Presently, we meet in a small covered area next to the new property of the church. We have $13,000 of the $32,000 needed for the first phase.
