Our Ministry

Tim: serving as pastor/missionary in area congregations
and teaching in 3 area churches, constructing church buildings and
parsonages, as well as, participating in radio ministry; also serves
on the Board of the Cariri Valley Theological Seminary.
Vicki: correspondence, specific projects and support ministries,
occasional counseling, and learning Brazilian Sign Language.

Personal goals for 2011

Tim: Because of the nature of our missionary work, I have no active
pastor in my life; to help fill part of that space, I will increase
listening (mp3 downloads) to 100 hours plus from God-motivated
key preachers, teachers, and church leaders, requesting that God
guide me through His Spirit in teaching, pastoring and coaching,
particularly, with the sheep entrusted to me that wander away
from The Shepherd too often; continue learning how fading human
relationships can intensify my friendship with Jesus who will not
withhold from me what the Father gave Him (John 15:15).

Vicki: maintaining and developing our website; preparing
newsletters and most of our correspondence; continuance of a
healthier lifestyle; encouraging individuals that God places in my
path through empathy and private conversations; completing and
converting to DVD the PowerPoint Presentation given last March
about our missionaries who have gone on to Glory; reading several
helpful books for leisure and learning; mid-year, finding a
professional to help me to improve my Portuguese so that I am
proficient in translation work.

Special Projects for 2011

Growing out of the present location and often meeting
in the street for services, we need a simple auditorium for the
Maria Teresa work (click “archive” and then July 2010 to read
church plant info.) We continue to look toward acquiring funds
for construction of an auditorium for the sister congregation
of the Church for the Deaf. Presently, we meet in a small
covered area next to the new property of the church. We
have a portion of the $32,000 needed for the first phase.

Additional information

One of the major challenges we face on the field is
administering a de-valued U.S. Dollar.

To check the U.S. Dollar to Brazilian Real Exchange Rate:

Includes a graph of the rate of exchange for up to 5 years.

Thanks again for your interest
and constant support both financially and prayerfully.
